Our Story

In a historic moment, the dream of an Indian man, nurtured for two years, culminated in the establishment of the first Indian temple in Mexico. This monumental achievement marked a significant milestone in the cultural and spiritual landscape of the country, bridging the vast geographical distance between India and Mexico with a shared reverence for divine worship.

The temple, a testament to the enduring spirit of faith and cultural exchange, was started in Queretaro a vibrant city that has witnessed the influx of Indian immigrants over the years. Indian community poured their hearts and souls into its creation.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony was synchronized with a parallel event in Ayodhya, India, symbolizing unity in the Indian diaspora.

Living to the value of Sanatana Dharma, Rituals were performed by Acharya (American citizen who adopted Hinduism and is the main Acharya in multiple temples in USA) on the land of a Mexican for not just Indian community for the welfare of everyone

Indian and Mexican communities celebrated together, showcasing shared values of family, faith, and tradition.

The temple is a beacon for the Indian diaspora in Mexico, fostering greater ties with the host country.

This initiative strengthened India’s image abroad, showcasing its rich heritage and spiritual values. The collaboration highlighted India's commitment to its diaspora, providing cultural and spiritual support.

The Shri Sanatana Dharma Mandir is more than a place of worship; it represents the enduring spirit of India's cultural outreach.

This initiative was also for promoting the knowledge of Vedas, Puranas, and Itihasas along with the values of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world as one family) will help instill a deep sense of cultural heritage and universal harmony in the next generation.

Our Mission

We started Shri Sanatana Dharma Mandir to anchor the soul of our community in the timeless values of Sanatana Dharma. This sacred space will serve as a living classroom for our children, ensuring that the next generation grows up with a deep understanding of their heritage and the strength of character found in the path of righteousness (Dharma). It is designed as a sanctuary for deep meditation, where the mind can find stillness amidst a chaotic world, and as a vibrant gathering place where we move beyond personal prayers to seek the well-being of our entire community and our host nation.

True to the spirit of Seva (selfless service), the temple will be a beacon of hope, offering Annadhanam to ensure that no one in our vicinity goes hungry. Beyond rituals, it will function as a center for Vidya (knowledge), hosting discourses on ancient wisdom, yoga for holistic health, and cultural arts that celebrate our identity. By fostering a spirit of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam"—the world is one family—this temple will be a place where we offer our gratitude, refine our conduct, and build a legacy of compassion and unity that will resonate for centuries to come
